Odell Beckham Jr. Says A Classy Farewell to Ravens Amid Free Agency Bid
Last Wednesday, the Baltimore Ravens dismissed veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. with a post-June 1 designation, thereby ending his stint with the team.
However, Beckham has stated that he will not be returning to the Ravens next season, writing a goodbye message to colleagues and supporters on Instagram.
“Swea on everything, I appreciate the Flock more than you could possibly understand. I did everything I could with the opportunities I had. I wish I could do it huge for you 💍. Thanks for the Vibez! To the city of Baltimore, I will fxck with you forever. And most importantly, to my brothers over there, this is a life sentence.
Beckham, who signed a one-year contract with Baltimore last April, expressed remorse in his goodbye speech because he was unable to give a title to Ravens supporters.
The New Orleans native participated in 14 Ravens games in 2023, recording 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
Most significantly, Beckham, who missed only two games with the Ravens in ’23 due to an ankle ailment, demonstrated to clubs that he was healthy after missing the whole ’22 season mending a ruptured ACL sustained during Super Bowl LVI while with the Los Angeles Rams.
