In-state EDGE. Jack Limbaugh commits to Iowa State.
Algona (Iowa) EDGE Jack Limbaugh visited Iowa State for a practice on Saturday and spoke with the staff in person. He spoke with 247Sports about it.
Algona (Iowa) EDGEJack Limbaugh verbally committed to Iowa State on Saturday.
The Cyclones have four pledges for their 2025 class, with Limbaugh being the third from within the state and second from Algona, with quarterback Alex Manske. He is the second EDGE commit, after Hamilton (Ohio) product Trey Verdon.
Limbaugh is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound three-star prospect ranked sixth among Iowa juniors by 247Sports. He chose the Cyclones over offers from Nebraska, Iowa, Northwestern, Duke, Kansas, and others.
The coaching staff, including head coach Matt Campbell, defensive coordinator Jon Heacock, and defensive line coach Eli Rasheed, had a significant role in his decision.
“I have an absolutely amazing relationship with Coach Rasheed and Coach Heacock as well as Coach Campbell,” he stated. “Coach Rasheed, in particular, has impressed me as a man to whom I can look up not only as a coach but also as a human being. I can’t wait to play for him. They all have excellent coaching styles, and I am looking forward to working with them all.”
Furthermore, being inside the state and able to carefully observe the program has allowed him to witness how the staff has elevated Cyclone football.
“I truly enjoy the atmosphere and winning mindset that everyone in the program brings to the table. And I like how they include spirituality into the curriculum as well,” he remarked.
Limbaugh is a dynamic backfield prospect who can play hand-down or standing up.
“They have talked about me in a hybrid speed end role as well as some outside linebacker,” that’s what he stated. “They have told me that see me as a similar fit to Will McDonald, which I feel honored about.”
Limbaugh also maintains a 3.8 GPA in the classroom.
