Breaking: Vikings Closing In On Deal To Sign $20.3 Super Bowl Champion As Justin Jefferson Running Mate

Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson is on a Hall-of-Fame trajectory, with four straight 1000-yard seasons and four straight Pro Bowls to start his career.

His inherent ability is evident. Jefferson, on the other hand, credits a substantial support system for his success. Among the several names he mentioned, free agency wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. stood out.

“I had a big list of people,” Jefferson said Kevin Hart on “Cold As Balls” on April 4. “Odell was one of the major ones.Randy Moss is a high pick for me.I met Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, and Davante Adams during my time in the league.

Carter and Moss are solid options for a young Vikings wide receiver.

Rice is widely regarded as the best receiver in the game, while Adams is one of the best route runners of his generation. But Jefferson’s relationship with Beckham stood out.

“Odell…was more like family,” Jefferson stated. “Just him playing with my siblings, and we were so close at LSU. We still have the same fraternity, so I can call him and ask him anything.”

Jordan, Jefferson’s older brother, played quarterback for LSU during Beckham’s rookie season in 2011.

Beckham played with middle brother Rickey Jefferson, a defensive back, in the former’s final collegiate campaign.

The full episode of Jefferson’s interview with Hart is set to premiere on April 9 in the 10th season of the show, which airs every Tuesday on Laugh Out Loud’s YouTube channel as well as on Hart’s Instagram.

Odell Beckham Could Be an Option for Vikings as Justin Jefferson Running Mate

The Vikings are at an interesting stage in their transition. Their future at quarterback is uncertain. However, they are not a team aiming to tank, since they signed multiple seasoned players in free agency this offseason.

After losing former No. 3 wideout K.J. Osborn to the New England Patriots in free agency, the team now faces an offensive gap.

Could Beckham play behind Jefferson and 2023 first-round pick Jordan Addison?

Beckham, 31, caught 35 catches for 573 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games with the Baltimore Ravens last season. He also mentored second-year player Zay Flowers.

The former No. 12 overall pick by the New York Giants in the 2014 draft, sat out the 2022 season after injuring his ACL in the Super Bowl with the champion Los Angeles Rams in 2021.

The Vikings have signed Aaron Jones to replace Alexander Mattison.

They are open to recruiting aged players with certain injury concerns. The Miami Dolphins have expressed interest in Beckham, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler on April 5. Money could be a decisive factor.

The Vikings still have Brandon Powell on the roster and signed Trent Sherfield from the Buffalo Bills during free agency. They totaled 410 yards last season.

Kirk Cousins Pushing for Former K.J. Osborn’s Breakout

With Osborn’s departure, Minnesota’s future remains uncertain. Former Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins hopes his former teammate has a successful season.

“KJ Osborne is a receiver who was with us in Minnesota who was kind of in the shadow of Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen,” Cousins stated on “The Big Podcast” with Shaquille O’Neal, April 3. “I always felt K.J. was greater than the opportunities he was given.

“I’d like to see him have a great year in New England, with a bigger role than he did in Minnesota, to show what he can do. But the list of males goes on and on, and I believe that because they have someone in front of them, they do not get to be or exhibit as good as they truly are. You want those guys to have opportunities.

The Vikings are in terrific shape as long as Jefferson, Addison, and tight end T.J. Hockenson return to health.

But Osborn’s absence will be felt.
