Report: Saints reach agree to trade with eagles for talented star

The Philadelphia Eagles trade up with the New Orleans Saints in the most recent 2024 NFL mock draft.
The Philadelphia Eagles control the 22nd choice in the 2024 NFL Draft, while the New Orleans Saints own the 14th pick. Philadelphia’s general manager, Howie Roseman, is not afraid to make deals during the NFL Draft.

Roseman is always eager to take risks, and maybe they will pay off for him. According to The Athletic’s most recent NFL Mock Draft, the Eagles will choose 14th in the 2024 NFL Draft, up from 22nd. Philadelphia would also transfer their 50th overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft to the Saints.

According to Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic, the Eagles will choose Quinyon Mitchell, a cornerback from Toledo. His argument for choosing this option was as follows:

“C.J. Gardner-Johnson is back in Philadelphia, but the Eagles still need assistance at cornerback. If either Mitchell or Arnold fails, Philadelphia has the resources to get a starter in Round 1. Mitchell, a phenomenal athlete with a strong character, qualifies.”

Mitchell stands 6’0″ and weighs 196 pounds. Last season at Toledo, he had 41 total tackles, one interception, and 18 pass deflections. Some people consider him the top cornerback in the 2024 NFL Draft class. Quinyon Mitchell has been rising quickly on NFL Draft boards in recent months.

The Philadelphia Eagles trading with the New Orleans Saints would be a good move.

One of the reasons the Eagles struggled down the stretch was because their secondary kept getting torched on the back end. The defense was not as effective in the second half of the season as it had been in the first.
Darius and James Bradberry did not perform well as cornerbacks last season. Philadelphia needs some new blood at cornerback. Howie Roseman, the Philadelphia Eagles’ general manager, needs to choose a couple of cornerbacks in the 2024 NFL choose. There will be several additional quality cornerbacks to take in the second round of the 2024 NFL take, as well as a few other second-round picks.

Quinyon Mitchell would be an excellent beginning point for this franchise. In this league, he will start at cornerback right away. The New Orleans Saints have few needs, so they can afford to trade down. They would only be able to select the best available player with the 22nd pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
