Breaking: Giants Closing In On Deal To Sign $15.2 Million White Sox Starter

The San Francisco Giants could make a trade for the Chicago White Sox pitcher who recently won the KBO MVP award.

The San Francisco Giants need to improve their performance after a slow start. They made several fascinating moves throughout the offseason, but they may make more in the trade market.

According to Bleacher Report’s Tim Kelly, the Giants are among the teams interested in acquiring Erick Fedde from the Chicago White Sox.

The White Sox are the league’s poorest team, with a 3-15 record this season. Anyone who could bring them any leads should be regarded as expendable.

Fedde is one of the most intriguing tales in the league right now. Fedde pitched with a 5.41 earned run average from 2017 to 2022. He elected to play in Korea in 2023 after being unable to locate a Major League Baseball franchise.

Fedde was not only good in the Korea Baseball Organization, but also dominate. He concluded the season with a 2.00 in 30 starts and was voted the KBO’s Most Valuable Player.

He returned to the MLB with Chicago and has looked solid in four starts. He now sees himself as one of the prospective major moves in the trade market.

The Giants’ starting rotation was projected to be considerably better than it turned out to be. They undoubtedly assumed they wouldn’t need to search for someone like Fedde after signing Snell to round out their rotation.

Jordan Hicks, a reliever for the past seven years, has emerged as the team’s best starter thus far.

Keaton Winn is set to be the odd man out of the starting rotation. The 26-year-old is coming off a strong start after battling in his first few outings.

The biggest surprise thus far has been Snell’s dismal performance. He has a 12.86 earned run average in only two games.

It would be smart for the Giants to bring in another starting pitcher, especially one on a cheap deal. Fedde is locked up for two years and $15 million. This is one name to keep an eye on as the MLB Trade Deadline approaches in July.
