Browns come to terms with T Hakeem Adeniji.
The Browns have reached an agreement with T Hakeem Adeniji to improve their offensive line.
The Browns had many tackle injuries during the 2023 season, beginning in Week 1 with RT Jack Conklin’s season-ending knee injury. Rookie tackle Dawand Jones took up the starting job in Week 2 before suffering his own season-ending knee injury in Week 13 and being ruled out for the rest of the season after Week 14. The Browns were also without T Jedrick Wills Jr. for a portion of the season, as he suffered a knee injury in Week 9 and was placed on injured reserve on November 7.
He later had arthroscopic knee surgery, causing him to miss the rest of the season.
All three are still recovering from their injuries, but Adeniji’s acquisition helps address the team’s need for offensive line depth.
Adeniji is in his fifth NFL season since leaving Kansas. He was taken by the Bengals in the sixth round of the 2020 draft and spent his first three seasons in the league with them. He then joined the Vikings for the 2023 season, starting on the practice squad and acting as a backup. He has appeared in 43 career games, including 15 starts for the Bengals and Vikings. He appeared in just four games for Minnesota in 2023.
