Bush spent all five of his college seasons with Texas. The Houston native had his best season yet, tying his career high of 17 total tackles, two sacks, and a 43-yard interception return for a touchdown.
If Bush makes New England’s 53-man roster, he’ll have the opportunity to learn under first-year head coach Jerod Mayo, who is taking over for the renowned Bill Belichick.
Bush played two seasons at Texas alongside Patriots safety Brenden Schooler in 2020 and 2021. The two will now reconvene during New England’s offseason program.
