In addition to shooting 54.7 percent (186 of 340) from the field and 74 percent (91 of 123) from the free throw line, he averaged 13.8 points and 4.8 rebounds.
Krikke finished fourth in the Big Ten in field goal %, eleventh in field goals, and eighteenth in points (469) thanks to his effective play from the field. He scored twenty-points in eight games, including a season-high twenty-five points (10 of 14 FG), nine rebounds, and four steals in the victory over Arkansas State. In the victory away at Minnesota, he scored twenty-five points on 11 of 17 shots.

The Edmontonian played for Team Canada in the 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup, averaging 9.9 points to lead his country to fourth place. Of all the team members, he was the only one not from Ontario or Quebec. In addition to competing in the 2017 U16 FIBA Americas Championship, it was his second competition with the national squad.
Fran McCaffery, the head coach of Iowa, described Krikke as “well, he’s a perfect fit for us” during Media Day. “And that’s why we went so hard at him out of the portal.”
