Exciting Update: Glasner is very happy at the club and he’s planning for £33k per week CB signing
He’s teased a new signing.
A potential 2024 summer transfer for Crystal Palace and an update on manager Oliver Glasner has been teased by Fabrizio Romano over the weekend.
Crystal Palace on the rise under Glasner
When Roy Hodgson left his position as manager of Crystal Palace in February, the Eagles’ future did not appear promising. Under the former England manager, they had lost 10 of their previous 16 Premier League games. Currently ranked 16th in the table, they were in risk of dropping into the relegation zone.
But Palace did not waste any time in appointing Glasner, the former manager of Eintracht Frankfurt. Though the Austrian has only recently moved to London, Crystal Palace has undergone an incredible metamorphosis. Under Glasner, they have only lost three games, drawn three, and won six. They have also averaged two goals and 1.75 points per game.
This form has moved Crystal Palace up to 12th in the division and seemingly lifted the mood around Selhurst Park a great deal.
“There are brilliant people in the world: Joel (Ward), Dean Henderson, Ebs Eze, and Michael. “We wouldn’t have won here if I couldn’t tell you every player,” Glasner remarked following Palace’s 3-1 victory over Wolves on Saturday.
We play for our audience, for Crystal Palace, and for our group because we’re having so much fun right now and everyone is having a great time. On one of the most recent days—22 degrees—we had a barbeque and enjoyed it all together. However, it’s usually laborious at the beginning, and the players are incredibly driven and ambitious. Eventually, though, you get rewarded, and that’s what we find enjoyable.
Crystal Palace transfer rumours
It is not just on the field where things are looking up for the Crystal Palace faithful, however, as the Londoners have already been tipped to make several transfers during the 2024 summer window.
Ben Johnson, a defender for West Ham who has not been offered new terms in east London and is out of contract at the London Stadium this summer, has been linked to Palace.
In other news, rumors out of Italy have connected Glasner to a reunion with Filip Kostic, a player he had played for Eintracht Frankfurt. French midfielder Batista Mendy, who is presently employed by Turkish team Trabzonspor, is reportedly a target for Palace as well. This week, sources said the club made an offer for the midfield player to the Turkish team.
Exciting Crystal Palace update & new signing teased
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has since provided an update on Glasner’s future and a possible Crystal Palace deal. Given the connections to Bayern Munich, it is not unexpected that the Italian says Glasner is thrilled at the team and is already making plans for summer transfers.
A center back is anticipated to be one of these transfers, yet specifics regarding the player’s identity are withheld. Romano continues, “Crystal Palace views Glasner as invincible, and owner Steve Parish has never approved of a possible departure.”
