Report: Indiana star sign a multiyear deal with rivals

Caitlin Clark signs a historic multiyear endorsement agreement with Wilson.
The Indiana Fever standout is the first female athlete to own a Wilson trademark basketball collection.
Caitlin Clark continues to make history, both on and off the court.

The Indiana Fever star has struck a multiyear deal with Wilson Sporting Goods, the company announced on May 21.

“Wilson has been with me across some of the most pivotal moments in my career so far, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue driving basketball forward alongside them,” Clark said in a press release. “It feels surreal to have my own basketball collection, and to affect what that means for future generations of athletes.”

 

Wilson will release basketball collections to honor Clark’s legacy, according to a news statement. The first product, a white and gold basketball with laser engravings honoring Clark’s achievements, is currently available.

Later this year, the company will launch a signature basketball line creatively supervised by Clark, according to Wilson. Clark will be the first female player to have her own basketball collection.

 

“Wilson is made to celebrate the most iconic moments in sport, and we have always aligned ourselves with trailblazers who break boundaries and write their own story,” Amanda Lamb, Wilson’s global brand manager, said in a statement. “Caitlin Clark is more than just a record-breaking athlete; she is also a cultural icon with a significant impact on the sport. We couldn’t be happier to collaborate with her to continue inventing basketball both on and off the court.”

Clark’s role will include testing, advising, and providing input to assist Wilson create its goods, according to the brand.

Clark was chosen first overall by the Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft in April, after she became the NCAA Division I all-time top scorer.

Clark was chosen first overall by the Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft in April, after she became the NCAA Division I all-time top scorer.

Clark told TODAY ahead of the draft that joining the WNBA would “probably be a bit of a learning curve,” but she was looking forward to the “challenge.”

“Being confident in all the work I’ve put in, in the moments, and knowing that I’ve earned to be in this moment — that’s always kind of what I remind myself, you know, you’re not here by accident,” Clark told Stephanie Gosk of NBC News.

 

The Fever have played four games this season, with their next game planned for May 22 against the Seattle Storm.
