After the multimillion-pound Crystal Palace debacle, West Brom won’t feel so bad: View

In July 2020, Nathan Ferguson signed a free move from West Brom to Crystal Palace, where he played just eight minutes.

Nathan Ferguson, a 23-year-old defender, leaves Selhurst Park after his contract expires, bringing an end to his injury-plagued Crystal Palace career.

Ferguson’s chronic Achilles problems limited his senior football playing time at Palace to just 8 minutes, which left fans disappointed and frustrated.
Despite a story that included a botched January 2020 contract and a free transfer thereafter, Ferguson’s exit makes Palace and West Brom sad.
Nathan Ferguson was released by Crystal Palace four years after he signed a free transfer from West Bromwich Albion after a controversial tale.

This week, the Premier League team revealed their retained list and made it official that the 23-year-old will be leaving Selhurst Park when his contract expires at the end of the month.

The statement from Palace said, “We can also confirm that Nathan Ferguson will depart the club upon the expiration of his contract this summer.”

“The club would like to officially thank Nathan for his efforts and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Ferguson played just eight minutes of senior football for Palace throughout his four injury-plagued seasons in South London after joining on a free transfer in July 2020.
