BREAKING: Miami Hurricanes Land Another Elite 4-Star Prospect to Continue Blazing Stretch of Adding Top-End Talent

From 1983 until 2003, the Miami Hurricanes ruled the college football world. With five crowns, 14 double-digit winning seasons, and two Heisman Trophy winners, Miami only missed the AP Top 25 once in the last two decades. However, the Hurricanes have had a less successful two decades, with only one double-digit winning season and three bowl game victories. In 2024, Miami will enter year three of the Mario Cristobal era, trying to reclaim its late 20th-century grandeur. One thing Cristobal and Miami have done well this offseason is build a talent pipeline through recruiting.

On a thrilling Thursday, the Miami Hurricanes received a game-changing commitment from class of 2025 four-star prospect Amari Wallace. Building on the success of the class of 2024, which is ranked fourth best by 247Sports, with three five-stars and 11 four-stars, Wallace’s commitment marks a significant addition to the high-end prospects joining Miami in the class of 2025.

Miami Hurricanes: Earn Commitment From Top Safety

The Miami Hurricanes have had a very successful week in terms of prospect commitment. According to On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett, Miami Central High School safety Amari Wallace committed to the Hurricanes on Thursday. Wallace, a four-star prospect, has also had offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Oklahoma, among others. 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins describes Wallace as “an instinctive, half-field safety prospect with tons of range who has made plays since he was a freshman for the powerhouse that is Miami Central.”

Ivins also praises Wallace for his burst and ability to force turnovers in crucial situations. Wallace started for juggernaut Miami Central as a sophomore in 2022, collecting 44 tackles, ten passes defended, and two interceptions. Miami Central went 14-0, winning the Florida 2M title. Wallace posted 28 tackles and three interceptions in nine games last year.

Miami: Quickly Stacking Talent in the Class of 2025

With Amari Wallace’s commitment on Thursday, the Miami Hurricanes now have ten hard commitments for the class of 2025. Miami has recruited three-star offensive tackles Jaden Wilkerson and Demetrius Campbell. According to On3 Sports, the tandem is among the top 100 for their position. Meanwhile, Wallace is the fourth four-star prospect in the 2025 class to verbally commit to Miami. Along with Wallace, the Hurricanes have signed four-star prospects Brock Schott, Girard Pringle, and Luka Gilbert.

Schott and Gilbert play tight end, with the latter clocking in at six-foot-seven, 225 pounds. Pringle is a five-foot-ten, 185-pound running back from Florida and one of the top recruits at his position. Pringle ran for 1,683 yards and nine scores for Armwood (Tampa) last year.
