West Brom target soon-to-be free agent
West Brom are interested in defender Moussa Diarra, who is set to leave Toulouse, according to French news outlet Foot Mercato.
West Brom are keen on bringing the centre-back to England as they prepare for the new Championship season. They made the play-offs last season under Carlos Corberan, but were defeated in the semi-finals by eventual winners Southampton.
Diarra, 23, will see his contract with Toulouse expire at the end of the month, making him a free agent. He will be considering his next step as he prepares to start on a new chapter in his career.
According to Foot Mercato, the Baggies, along with fellow second-tier side Norwich City, are among the clubs interested in signing him. Marseille, Rennes, and OGC Nice have all expressed interest in the player, leaving him with a difficult option to make.

The Mali international, who has three caps to date, has been with Toulouse since he was a kid.
He rose through the academy ranks of the Ligue 1 club and was a regular at several young levels.
The Paris-born player signed his first professional contract in 2019 and was initially a prominent member for the B team before progressing to the senior squad.
Diarra has made 103 appearances for Toulouse and scored one goal from the defense.
He helped them gain promotion from Ligue 2 in 2022 and has since adjusted nicely to life in the top level.

Marseille, Rennes, and Nice could all jump at the chance to keep him in France.
However, West Brom and Norwich City could try to move him to a new country, which may pique his interest.
