Report: UNC announce the signing of another dual-sport star

UNC Football program extends offer to another dual-sport in-state athlete Mack Brown and the UNC football program have identified a few standout student-athletes from this specific in-state high school. We have heard a lot about Kendre Harrison, a star prospect for the class of 2026 who has received offers from both the UNC basketball

and football programs; however, Harrison is not the only multi-sport star available at Reidsville High School. Dionte Neal, another rising junior, is another multi-sport standout from Reidsville High School who has received an offer from Mack Brown and the UNC football program. This marks Neal’s first Power 5 offer.

The 5-foot-9, 160-pound player, who has spent the last two seasons playing wide receiver and secondary, is regarded as an athletic by the UNC football team. This autumn, he will compete for the starting quarterback position. With some really excellent numbers as a freshman and sophomore, Neal made an immediate impression on the varsity level.

Neal has 90 receptions for 1,277 yards and 17 touchdowns on offense. He has racked up an incredible 15 interceptions and 18 pass breakups on the defensive end of the ball, which has caused plenty of difficulties for teams that dare to throw the ball to him.

Neal is a rising prospect in both football and basketball, and he currently has multiple Division I offers from schools like the College of Charleston, Hampton, High Point, and North Carolina A&T. More offers (in both sports) may come in the near future. The UNC football program’s offer seems to really excite the in-state product, as the Tar Heels may just have an advantage in his recruitment as it heats up a bit.
