Heart of Midlothian are set to sign Gambian forward Musa Drammeh after his departure from Sevilla.

The 22-year-old is likely to join this week after spending the previous two years with Sevilla Atletico, the club’s second string in the Spanish fourth division. He can play both through the middle and wide right.

Hearts have been aiming to improve their attacking options, having already announced four summer signings with more to come.

Drammeh will join on a free transfer after the Andalusian club decided not renew his contract. He joined Sevilla in 2022 and was pursued by numerous English Championship clubs in January. Sunderland, Cardiff City, and Birmingham City were all said to be interested in the player, with the Black Cats having their approach rejected as the forward pushed to be promoted to Sevilla’s first squad.

He will join Blair SpittalJames PenriceDaniel Oyegoke and Ryan Fulton as summer additions. Yan Dhanda is likely to be announced in the coming days while the club are still working on a deal to bring Costa Rican international Gerald Taylor to the club.

Hearts return to pre-season training later this week ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. They will spend time at the Oriam before heading to Tenerife for a warm-weather training camp next month. Friendlies have been organised with Leyton Orient, Tottenham Hotspur and Fleetwood Town.
