Massive Addition: Boston Bruins Confirm Agreement To Sign Experienced Veteran Forward In Free Agency

The Boston Bruins have signed free agency center Elias Lindholm to a seven-year, $54.25 million contract with a salary budget hit of $7.75 million annually. The former Vancouver Canucks forward is a valuable addition to Boston’s squad and has been a long-term target. Lindholm, a top-six center with a strong 200-foot game, fills the void left by Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci’s retirement.

Lindholm, 29, played 26 regular season games for the Canucks in 2023-24 after being transferred to Vancouver by the Calgary Flames on January 31, 2024, as part of a four-team deal. The 6-foot-1, 202-pound right-shot center scored six goals and six assists in 26 games for the Canucks, and he added five goals and five points in 13 playoff games. Lindholm ended the season with 15 goals, 29 assists, and a 58.7 faceoff percentage in 75 games.
