Kentucky gets Jermiel Atkins’ commitment.
The Cats continue their winning streak in the recruitment process!
To maintain the winning momentum, how about one more Yahtzee?
To start the Fourth of July Weekend, the Kentucky Wildcats have added another big-time (literally) offensive lineman prospect to an already exciting week on the recruiting path.
Jermiel Atkins, a 3-star offensive tackle, committed to Kentucky on Thursday. He was torn between Virginia Tech and Minnesota and the Cats. Among the other universities that extended scholarship offers to Atkins were West Virginia and Arizona State.
The 6-foot-8, 290-pound Dayton, Ohio native Atkins has been under consideration by the Cats for a while now as Eric Wolford and Bush Hamdan attempt to rebuild the Big Blue Wall. It’s excellent news for this unit’s future that they have landed a second high 3-star talent at tackle, especially after a few misses in high school recruitment in recent classes.
Vince Marrow and Mark Stoops acquired another athlete to their roster of Ohio high school recruits to play college football in Lexington with Atkins’ pledge. Additionally, he becomes the seventh out-of-state high school athlete to pledge to Kentucky for the 2025 class.
According to 247 Sports Composite, Atkins is presently ranked 56th among offensive tackles in the class of 2025 and 797th overall. He is ranked as Ohio’s 31st-best prospect by them as well.
Jermiel, welcome to the BBN!
