Bid Rejected: Burnley now accept to improve £4Million to £8 Million for Scott Parker key target

Bid rejected for £8 million Burnley targetLiverpool has rejected a deal for Burnley target Nat Phillips, with the centre-back valued at £8 million.

The centre-back is now in the final year of his contract at Anfield, and Arne Slot’s team intends to move him this summer. The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Cardiff City, making 18 Championship appearances for Erol Bulut’s side.
According to The Athletic’s Liverpool writer James Pearce, Turkish club Trabzonspor had a bid of £4 million rejected by The Reds, with the club valuing the defender at twice the price proposed by the seven-time Super Lig winners.

Several Championship clubs are reportedly interested in signing the former Bluebird, including demoted Burnley, who have finished their managerial hunt by hiring former Charlton Athletic midfielder Scott Parker on a three-year contract.

Phillips broke into professional football with an excellent spell for Liverpool during a huge defensive injury crisis four years ago. He appeared in 20 games that season, helping the Merseyside club qualify for the Champions League, and faced AC Milan in the competition the following season.

Under Jurgen Klopp, the Bolton-born defender was loaned out to Stuttgart, Celtic, and AFC Bournemouth before joining Cardiff in January of last year. He scored a single

goal on the last day of the season against an already relegated Rotherham United.
His experience with The Cherries endeared him to Clarets manager Parker, who acquired Phillips on a season-long loan when they returned to the Premier League with a second-place finish in the Championship, making 18 appearances in the 2021/22 season.

Burnley has already strengthened its defence with the permanent signing of Maxime Esteve after a loan spell in January, as well as the four-year deal signing of PSV right-back Shurandy Sambo. However, Parker may lose important player Dara O’Shea this summer, with the Daily Record suggesting that Celtic are interested in signing the 25-year-old.
