Tragedy struck on a fateful Sunday afternoon when a small plane carrying a family of five crashed in upstate New York, leaving no survivors. On board were Roger Beggs, 76, his daughter Laura VanEpps, 42, her husband Ryan VanEpps, 42, and their two sons, James, 12, and Harrison, 10. The family had spent the weekend in Cooperstown, attending a baseball tournament at the iconic National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
As the plane flew through an area of “storm activity,” it suddenly went down, crashing in a remote area near the town of Davenport. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but it was too late. All five family members had perished in the tragic accident.
