Rashee Rice, a Kansas City Chiefs receiver, was driving at 119 mph just seconds before a six-car disaster on a busy Dallas interstate last month, according to arrest and affidavit records.

According to the affidavit, Rice was driving a Lamborghini Urus at 119 mph 4.5 seconds before the crash on March 30. A Chevrolet Corvette, allegedly driven by SMU football player Teddy Knox, was traveling at 116 mph 7.5 seconds before the crash.

Rice surrendered to police and posted bond last Thursday. He faces eight accusations, including one case of aggravated assault, one count of collision causing serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.

Rice issued a statement on April 3rd, admitting to his role in the tragic catastrophe. The former SMU standout, who is now a rising star with the Chiefs, apologized to all those affected by the tragedy.

“Today I met with Dallas police investigators about Saturday’s accident,” Rice said on Instagram. “I accept full responsibility for my actions in this situation and will continue to cooperate with the appropriate authorities. I truly apologize to everyone involved in Saturday’s event.
