Skysport news: Bengals star reject new contract to join Kansas chiefs

The Cincinnati Bengals will not extend Tee Higgins’ contract, setting the stage for two AFC contenders to compete for his services next year.
Tee Higgins and the Cincinnati Bengals were unable to reach an agreement on a long-term contract, which should have come as no surprise. Franchise tag rules restrict players and teams from reaching long-term agreements at this point in the offseason, meaning the wide receiver will leave in free agency next year.
While some clubs employ the franchise tag to extend their native talent, ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio recently reported that the Bengals are not among them.

Agreeing to the NFL insider, Cincinnati has “never kept a player past the year in which he was tagged.”

Whereas anything can happen over the another 10 or so months, history will likely rehash itself. Cincinnati never came near to concurring to terms with Tee Higgins, and they have sufficient money related stresses coming around the corner. Joe Burrow’s cap hit is set to blow, up and whiz wide collector Ja’Marr Chase is due for an expansion of his claim. With Higgins likely to leave in 2025, hunt for the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers to offered for his administrations.
