Sad news: NASCAR/ELDORA star driver surfer another life-threatening scare

“This parasite will not leave me alone” – NASCAR driver Frankie Muniz describes his ongoing health battle.
Frankie Muniz, a Hollywood actor turned NASCAR racer, recently provided an update on his health after being unwell during a trip to Mexico. Muniz said that he has been suffering from a parasite condition, which has destroyed him “physically and mentally.”

After making his NASCAR Truck Series debut in Nashville, Frankie Muniz took a family getaway to Cancun, Mexico. Despite loving the trip, Frankie’s wife Paige Muniz said on Instagram that he contracted hay fever while on vacation, and that other travelers also became ill.
On Thursday, July 25, Frankie Muniz posted a health update on X (previously Twitter), revealing that he has been suffering from a parasite infection for the past 22 days. He stated that his health has not improved since returning from the vacation, despite numerous visits to the ER and the completion of his third prescription.

“This parasite refuses to leave me alone. Day 22 of feeling completely horrible. Two emergency hospital visits, two doctor’s appointments, and numerous IVs. The third prescription is almost complete. Wrecked both physically and mentally. I really want to get back to training, etc.” Muniz writes about X.
Prior to his last update, Muniz stated a few weeks ago that his health has deteriorated since his return from the trip. He said that based on his previous experience in Mexico, he may avoid visiting the nation again in the future. Muniz wrote on X, July 12:

“I’ve been terribly unwell since my journey back from Mexico eight days ago. Somehow, I’m growing worse. After this ordeal, this could be my final vacation to Mexico.”
Paige Muniz posted on Instagram after returning from their trip to Mexico that her husband, Frankie, was “sick as a horse”. She also said that nearly everyone who joined them on the vacation became ill.

Exploring Frankie Muniz’s NASCAR begins this season.
The Malcolm in the Middle star made his full-time ARCA Menards debut last season, placing fourth in the final standings. This season, he has made a few starts in the Xfinity and Truck Series for Ford-affiliated teams.

Frankie Muniz made his Xfinity debut at the season opener at Daytona, driving the #35 Ford Mustang for Joey Gase Motorsports. His debut performance finished with a DNF, placing him 36th. His second start at Phoenix Raceway produced a similar result, and he was unable to qualify for the road course event in Portland.
Muniz made his Truck Series debut for Reaume Brothers Racing, driving the #22 Ford F-150 at Nashville Superspeedway. He finished 31st, but said he had a great time driving the #22 Ford. As part of a four-race arrangement with the organization, he will return to Bristol Motor Speedway (September 19), Kansas Speedway the following week, and the ARCA race in Michigan.

Frankie Muniz also returned to the ARCA series this year, driving the #30 Rette Jones Racing Ford to tenth place at Talladega earlier in the season.
