Announcement: Virginia Tech football receives commitment from 5 star athlete

Virginia Tech football receives commitment from three-star athlete with program ties.
Luke Stuewe, the son of a former Hokie, has committed to the Hokies.

For the second time in three days, the Virginia Tech football team has recruited another excellent athlete to its Class of 2025 roster. After receiving a late and surprise commitment from four-star wide receiver Shamarius Peterkin of North Carolina, who chose the Hokies over ACC opponents North Carolina and North Carolina State. The indicators were there that Virginia Tech was making a late push and ultimately making a good drive to secure the pledge.

On Sunday, the Hokies received another commitment from three-star athlete Luke Stuewe from Ohio. He is a legacy recruit and the son of Michael Stuewe, who played wide receiver at Virginia Tech from 1994 to 1997.
Virginia Tech gets a commitment from three-star Luke Stuewe.
Stuewe chose the Hokies over Miami (Ohio), capping up a year-long recruiting process that included offers from Virginia Tech last summer and Miami of Ohio this summer. You get the impression that it was a very simple decision for him to play where his father did in a prestigious program.

He has an elder brother, Matt, who plays wide receiver for the Ohio Bobcats, and Luke had 17 catches for 317 yards before being injured after only four games. He also plays safety on the defensive side of the ball, and it is possible that he may receive some reps there in the future. He had four selections last autumn before his injury.

Stuewe is Virginia Tech’s 17th commit in the Class of 2025 and 13th three-star commit, with four four-star commitments in the class. Pry and Fontel Mines, as well as the staff, are continuing to develop a strong class for the future.
