Breaking: Kevin Owens Calls Fellow WWE Star ‘The Most Unreliable Person Of All Time’
As Kevin Owens prepared for his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes, he found himself under a fair amount of scrutiny from fans who questioned whether his friendship with “The American Nightmare” would endure beyond their title clash. Owens, well-known for his history of severing ties with close allies, has previously betrayed notable figures such as Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn, both of whom were once regarded as close friends.
In a recent discussion with “SHAK Wrestling,” Owens shed light on the broader issue of trust and reliability within the WWE locker room, suggesting that he is not the only one known for having strained relationships.
“In theory, he’s never really turned on me, per se, but outside the ring, Sami Zayn is one of the least reliable people ever for anything,” Owens remarked. He elaborated, “You text him, he gets back to you three days later. You need a ride somewhere, he’ll get back to you [a day later]. ‘Well yeah, I have to go to the airport, but that was two days ago. Thanks buddy.’ Stuff like that. So yeah, he might not have stabbed me in the back, per se, on wrestling television—not that he ever stabbed me in the back in real life either—but you use the word ‘reliable,’ the most unreliable of all time, Sami Zayn. Many can concur.” Owens’ comments reveal a facet of Zayn’s character that goes beyond their on-screen rivalry, emphasizing his perceived unreliability in personal matters.
Despite Owens’ criticism of Zayn’s dependability, it’s worth noting that their most recent on-screen split was amicable, albeit forced by a WWE transaction. On July 27, Owens and Zayn briefly reunited for a tag team battle against The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa at a WWE live event in Tokyo, Japan, signaling a short comeback to their previous relationship.
In contrast to his previous partnerships, Owens has maintained a strong and stable connection with Cody Rhodes. This was clear when Owens and Rhodes shared a moment of camaraderie and mutual respect after their WWE Bash in Berlin title contest, including an embrace that highlighted their long-standing bond.
