In a shocking move, 16-time world champion John Force announced his temporary retirement due to a nagging back injury, leaving his Peak Antifreeze Chevrolet Funny Car without a driver. However, the team didn’t miss a beat, as former Funny Car champion Jack Beckman stepped in to take the wheel.
Beckman, known for his lightning-quick reflexes and skill behind the wheel, is thrilled to get back behind the wheel of a Funny Car for the first time since 2000. “I’m honored to drive for John Force Racing and help John in his quest for another title,” Beckman said.
