Frog Nation board have made the final decision on defensive coordinator

FROG NATION BOARD MAKES DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR DECISION

Fort Worth, TX – After a thorough evaluation process, the TCU Horned Frog Nation board has made a final decision regarding the defensive coordinator position.

Effective immediately, veteran coach, Joe Gillespie, will take over as the new Defensive Coordinator for the TCU Horned Frogs. Gillespie brings over 20 years of coaching experience, including stints at Power Five programs like Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Gillespie to the Frog Family,” said TCU Director of Athletics, Jeremiah Donati. “His expertise and passion for defensive football will undoubtedly elevate our program.”

Gillespie’s appointment comes after a comprehensive search, during which the board considered several top candidates.

“I’m honored to join the TCU family and lead this talented group of student-athletes,” Gillespie said. “We’ll work tirelessly to build a dominant defense that makes Frog Nation proud.”

Gillespie’s defensive philosophy emphasizes aggressive play, physicality, and turnovers. His units have consistently ranked among the nation’s best in key categories.
