- Curry now guaranteed about $178m for next three years
Stephen Curry, the NBA’s all-time three-point leader and Olympic gold medalist, has agreed to extend his contract with the Golden State Warriors for the 2026-27 season. He will earn about $63 million.
Curry’s agent, Jeff Austin of Octagon, confirmed the arrangement to the Associated Press on Thursday. Curry’s agreement with the Warriors was first reported by ESPN.
Curry is now guaranteed nearly $178 million over the next three seasons: $55.8 million this season, $59.6 million in 2025-26, and now $62.6 million – the highest the Warriors can offer by league rule – in 2026-27.
Curry’s on-court earnings will be around $532 million, making him the second-highest earner in NBA history, after only LeBron James’ $580 million contract.
Curry, 36, is beginning his 16th season in the NBA, all of which have been with the Warriors. He is a 10-time All-Star and 10-time All-NBA pick, a member of four Golden State Warriors championship teams, and a two-time MVP. This summer, he also played on the US Olympic team that won gold in the Paris Games, including a stunning fourth-quarter performance that helped the Americans defeat France in the final.
He averaged 26.4 points with the Warriors last season and has a career average of 24.8 points in regular season play.
