Breaking: Talented 25-year-old driver has been made a “bumper offer” to to race in all three NASCAR national series for…
For Stewart-Haas Racing drivers, the 2025 season is not guaranteed. Riley Herbst appears to have many options to pick from. This is not surprising given the NASCAR driver’s Monster Energy sponsorship.
The Haas Factory Team will have two Xfinity Series rides. But it doesn’t guarantee Riley Herbst will get one of those rides. In fact, with Stewart-Haas Racing’s closure, he may wish to leave Haas totally.
Herbst was asked about his possibilities for 2025 during a media briefing Saturday. It turns out that it’s not only about what he wants to achieve; his sponsor also has a significant say in it.
“I think there’s a lot of things going on behind the scenes, but it’s not really just Riley Herbst, it’s Monster Energy as well,” the driver told reporters. “The most important thing is to figure out what’s best for me and Monster Energy. Josh Jones and Kevin Harvick are attempting to steer me in the correct direction, and I’m going to rely on their expertise. I did it last year and plan to do it again this year, and there are many possibilities available. So, we’re looking forward to hearing from everyone.”
Riley Herbst revealed that he got Cup Series offers as well as offers for all three national series.
“It’s all three series.”
In his NASCAR career, Herbst has but one national series victory. It came at Las Vegas last season in the Xfinity Series Playoffs, but Herbst had already been eliminated from the postseason.
Is Riley Herbst ready for the Cup Series?
Herbst has made a few Cup Series starts and impressed. At least on the superspeedways he owns. P10 at Daytona; P9 at Talladega. He competed in the 2023 and 2024 Daytona 500s for Rick Ware Racing. His top-10 finish at Talladega was with Front Row Motorsports.
Riley Herbst have talent. However, his Xfinity career has now reached its fifth full-time season. He raced for Joe Gibbs in 2020. He has worked with SHR since then. Only one win in that time frame is both unfortunate and disappointing.
Herbst does, however, receive sponsorship from Monster Energy. They have a lot of money and influence when it comes to getting a ride in any national series. Herbst is now sixth in the point standings this season, despite not winning any games. He has two runner-up results, at Dega and Iowa.
Riley Herbst has a strong track record at Nashville Superspeedway, however. Herbst had three starts at Nashville Superspeedway, finishing P10, P3, and P2. He even got the pole position for this event in 2022. If he wants a ride with 23XI Racing or Front Row Motorsports in 2025, I believe he needs to win this season.
