Breaking news: Scott Parker secure his first signing as Burnley coach

Scott Parker at Burnley to finalise contract – And may already have clinched the first signing.
Scott Parker appears to be likely to finalize his move to Burnley today, with a trip to their training field scheduled.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the contract for him to replace Vincent Kompany at Burnley has been finalized.

According to him, Parker has agreed to become Burnley’s new manager following Kompany’s departure to Bayern Munich.

A contract has been reached, and the English coach will visit the club’s training facility later today to meet with the current team and personnel.

He will next ‘go through the customary formalities’ before signing his contract and formally taking over as their new manager.
It may be a day of double transactions, too, as journalist Marc Mechenoua reports that Parker is close to making his first signing.

Andreas Hountondji, a striker for SM Caen, is reportedly on his way to Turf Moor.

According to him, Royal Antwerp targeted and prioritised the player, but Burnley outperformed them.

The striker, who scored five goals in 16 games for the French club last season, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Burnley and spoken with Scott Parker about the move.

All indications are that a deal is nearing completion, and he might be Parker’s first signing after signing his contract later today.
