Announcement: Stewart-Haas Racing Driver Announced As Wheelman For Front Row Motorsports

Noah Gragson has been turning heads since his arrival at Stewart-Haas Racing, but his NASCAR Cup Series future has come into question over the last month and change.

It’s no fault of his own; SHR is closing after the 2024 season, but Gragson has been left looking for a ride for 2025, despite impressing during his time in the No. 10 Ford. FOX’s Bob Pockrass predicts that Gregson will announce his next business later this week.

Pockrass predicts that Gragson will be announced as the driver of one of Front Row Motorsports’ charters for 2025 on Wednesday. It appears to be an ideal fit for all sides, and while nothing has been officially announced, Pockrass believes it is only a matter of time.

“Front Row will release the 2025 driver lineup at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday. It will webcast on the team’s YouTube account. Noah Gragson stated last week that he anticipated to make an announcement shortly on his 2025 Cup riding. “(I would expect it to be this),” Pocketrass wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. Front Row will reveal a teammate for Todd Gilliland tomorrow. So there will still be one opening.

According to Pockrass, Gragson will join Todd Gilliland, providing FRM with a strong foundation following Michael McDowell’s departure from the organization after the 2024 season. McDowell will now join Spire Motorsports. Still, there are plenty of intriguing candidates who could join Gilliland and Gragson next season.

Regardless, it’s great to hear that Gragson will continue to compete in the Cup Series. While he struggled with Legacy Motor Club in 2022, he has been impressive since joining SHR, rebuilding his reputation in the process. It would be a shame if all of that went to waste.

Some speculated that Gragson would return to the Xfinity Series owing to his ties with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and JR Motorsports. That would have been a fine backup plan for Gragson, but he’s proven he can race in the Cup week after week, so it may be beneath his abilities for the time being.

Moving forward, it’s evident Front Row Motorsports is looking to expand their operation and become a major player in 2025. Todd Gilliland is showing what they can do already, with some awesome runs over the last couple of weeks, so the addition of Noah Gragson, and a third wheelman yet to be named, should only help their organization grow.
