Unlimited Power: Coco Gauff Shines in Fresh Ad for ‘Wicked: For Good’ movie.

Coco Gauff has evolved from a teenage prodigy into one of the world’s top tennis players, a global star whose influence extends well beyond the court. Along the way, countless people have lifted her up, while others have tried to hold her back—yet she has kept soaring.

She tells that journey in a striking 30-second advertisement for the upcoming Wicked sequel, Wicked: For Good.

In the spot, the two-time Grand Slam champion moves freely on the tennis court, nodding to the two-part Hollywood adaptation directed by John M. Chu. The film is based on the Stephen Schwartz musical that reimagines the untold story of Oz’s famous witches, Elphaba and Glinda.

Dressed in on-theme pink and green, Gauff reflects on her rise from wunderkind to superstar, with visuals that echo the vivid world of Oz. The lines of the tennis court transform into a yellow brick road as she plays a point, while headlines swirl around her. Rather than succumbing to pressure, she ascends, guided by the word “unlimited” across the sky. The moment casually nods to Defying Gravity, another of the musical’s iconic numbers, as Elphaba embraces her true self.

“To those who saw my spark, and to those who showed me I was unlimited,” Gauff narrates, “To everyone who believed in me, and even those who didn’t—thank you. You all changed me … for good.”

The collaboration has been described as “unexpected and iconic,” even after Gauff admitted last year that she isn’t much of a musical girly—though she still gave the first Wicked film a perfect 10 in her eyes.

Iga Swiatek, a longtime fan of both the film and its score, chimed in: “So cool. Counting the days to the premiere myself.”
