One of the top high school recruits has been offered by Mark Pope and the Wildcats.
Mark Pope has been hard at work, gearing up for Year 1 in Lexington, but he has also been working and recruiting for the future of the program as well.
Pope and his team have scoured the nation’s high schools for the best talent and have made multiple offers from elite players.
The Kentucky Wildcats have extended an offer to prospect Blake Holt, a member of the class of 2026, to play at the next level. Holt made this announcement on Twitter.
All major recruiting websites rank the 6-foot-5 small forward as a 5-star recruit. He is currently ranked No. 3 by On3, ESPN, and 247 Sports in the class of 2026, and No. 4 by Rivals. He played for Buckhorn High School in Alabama before moving on to play for Grayson High School in Georgia.
Holt finished the 2024 season averaging 20.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals, and 2.4 assists, earning him the title of Mr. Basketball for Alabama. In his rookie and sophomore seasons, he was the MVP of both Buckhorn’s Class 6A state championship teams.
Holt has narrow down his list, it is great to see Kentucky continuing to get involved in full swing in the recruiting world.
