Can the Longhorns pull off another upset over SMU?
August is shaping up to be a busy recruiting month, with many recruits already planning to reveal their college intentions just before the start of their senior seasons.
Three-star Mansfield (TX) Timberview defensive back Nathan Tilmon has stated that he will commit on August 10th.
Tilmon will chose between TCU, Texas, and Utah.
Tilmon had originally committed to SMU but decommitted last month after official trips to Austin and Salt Lake City. Tilmon published his final three colleges last month, and they remain unchanged as decision day approaches.
Texas has already flipped from SMU this cycle, landing running back Rickey Stewart previously. They are now in position to possibly take another one from the Mustangs, but they will have to hold off the two Big 12 schools (which is still strange to think about in Utah’s case) in their chase of Tilmon.
We are a little more than a week away from Tilmon’s decision day, and 247Sports has already predicted that the Longhorns will win this recruiting. We’ll see whether that remains true on August 10th.
