Broncos sign linebacker Kristian Welch and dismiss Levelle Bailey.

Welch played college football at the University of Iowa, where he was a team captain and starter for one season. He went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft and later signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He spent three seasons with them. In 2023, he signed with the Green Bay Packers after being dismissed by the Ravens in the last round of cuts.
Welch has only played 44 defensive snaps over his four-year career. He has 27 tackles on the season so far, but he excels on special teams. He has 1,101 pictures in the category. At 6’3” and 240 pounds, Welch has a bit more size than Bailey but doesn’t possess his athleticism. However, he put together a great preseason and was one of the hardest cuts the Packers made according to Head Coach Matt LeFleur.
The Broncos still have one slot open on their practice squad. If Bailey clears waivers, Broncos fans may anticipate him to return to the Mile High City following a successful training camp and preseason. I was thrilled that he made the roster, but it looks the Broncos’ brass were searching for
