Breaking news: Alabama announce the commitment of 5 star player

Karen DeBoer will add Alabama’s first out-of-state commitment to the 2025 class.
This spring, the University of Alabama’s coaching staff must build camaraderie with the team, implement new offensive and defensive systems, and recruit the rapidly growing Class of 2025.
There was good news last Saturday.


Maryland’s Zymir Smith committed to the Crimson Tide and announced his decision on social media.
His selection comes after UA welcomed more than 70 recruits to Tuscaloosa, including Smith.
Smith announced his offer to Alabama in February.
As summer approaches, the rising seniors will have to make decisions.
Smith is listed as a 5-foot-10, 1,660-pound player and is being scouted as a cornerback.
According to ESPN, Rivals and On3, Smith is a four-star player.
He is the Tide’s first out-of-state commitment in this class and fourth overall.
He joins running back Anthony Rodgers, defensive lineman Antonio Coleman and athlete Myles Johnson.
As his junior year at the University of North Carolina, Smith as a running back he totaled 670 yards in nine games and he scored eight touchdowns.
He also caught four touchdowns.


Smith had 22 tackles and intercepted three passes with a forced fumble on defense.
The Bulldogs went 9-2 last fall and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
UA’s class of is currently ranked No.
28 overall, according to 247Sports.
The Tide is ranked 11th in the SEC, ahead of Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt, all of whom have received commitments.
