‘Unimaginable Loss’: 32-Year-Old Colorado Hiker Found Dead in Glacier National Park…

The National Park Service reported that “calls to the tip line” from visitors “directly contributed” to the discovery of the man’s bones.

A Colorado climber died Friday morning in a Montana national park, according to officials.

Adam Fuselier, 32, was discovered dead by National Park Service ground searchers on Reynolds Mountain in Glacier National Park around 11 a.m. local time, according to officials. His cause of death is still under investigation.

“The missing man’s vehicle was found at Logan Pass on Wednesday,” officials said in an earlier release Thursday. “He was last heard from on Tuesday afternoon and was expected to begin his climb at Reynolds Mountain in the AM that day. Rangers were notified on Wednesday morning that he was overdue.”

However, the search was abandoned owing to rainy, windy, and foggy circumstances.

As the weather improved Thursday, Two Bear Air, a local helicopter rescue service, joined the search for Fuselier, according to officials. The rescue team included a US Forest Service helicopter, over 50 searchers, and a dog team.

“The park and Fuselier’s family would like to thank visitors for calls to the tip line that directly contributed to finding Fuselier’s remains,” the park’s administrators said. “Credible tips from hikers who had contact with Fuselier helped narrow the search area.”

Several additional fatal accidents have occurred in Glacier National Park this year.A Kansas lady died in May after falling down a steep overhang into Avalanche Creek at the national park and being washed into a gorge, while three others died in the area in one week in July.

The park covers 1,500 square miles and features 175 mountains, glaciers, lakes, valleys, and over 745 kilometers of trails.
