Unexpected Announcement: Neil Diamond fans fear the worst after he trends because of public…

Following the devastating passing of music legend Kenny Rogers, 81, the Sweet Caroline star has brought a smile to people’s faces with a potentially life-saving song.

It’s become second nature to assume the worst when you see a performer of a particular age trending on Twitter.

Following the tragic and unexpected death of music superstar Kenny Rogers on Saturday, many hearts were racing when social media began addressing Neil Diamond.

But do not worry, folk and country fans: he is still very much with us.

In fact, the 71-year-old is doing everything in his ability to keep you with him after creating a fantastic COVID-19 version of Sweet Caroline.

While filming a new version of a popular karaoke song, he provides helpful tips on how to combat the Coronavirus.

He sings in front of the fire, accompanied by his pet dog, “I know we’re going through a rough time right now, but I love you, and I think if we sing together we might feel a little better.”

“Hands, washing hands, reaching out, don’t touch me, I won’t touch you.”

His followers adored it, and were overjoyed that he is still fighting fit.

Thank you. “We needed something to counter the ‘Imagine’ abomination,” said one.

Another person posted on Twitter: “Thank you Neil for being a national treasure, and being the breath of fresh air we need in these trying times.”

A fan commented: “Love sweet caroline anyway, but, this really made me laugh.”

Music fans are still coming to terms with the passing of Rogers, 81, a multiple Grammy winner.

According to his representative, he “passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family”.

Due to the worldwide COVID-19 situation, the family “is planning a small private service at this time, with a public memorial planned for a later date.”
