JUST IN: Former Georgia Football Letterman Josh Brock Named New Color Analyst for Georgia Bulldogs Sports Network.

Athens, Ga. –Learfield and Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing announced today that Josh Brock, a former offensive lineman for the University of Georgia, will be the new color analyst for Georgia football games on the Georgia Bulldogs Sports Network.

Following the recent departure of UGA record-setting quarterback Eric Zeier, who served as an expert color analyst announcing games on the football field for 18 seasons, Brock joins Bulldogs voice and director of broadcast operations Scott Howard in the radio booth. Throughout his time as color analyst, Zeier contributed knowledge, enthusiasm, and a strong bond with the Bulldogs, all of which he brought from his successful career as a collegiate and professional football player.

“We are thrilled that Josh will be joining the top college football broadcast team,” stated Alan Thomas, senior assistant athletic director at UGA. “He will complement Scott Howard well and offer valuable insight. We are thrilled to discover new ways to employ Eric’s ideas and analysis in supporting positions of our programming, but we will miss him as he steps away from the booth.”

As the recently hired color analyst, Brock has a diverse background as a seasoned media professional with over 15 years of experience in the booth and on the sidelines of sports broadcasting. Two GABBY Awards and coverage of four State Championship games are among his many accomplishments. Additionally, Brock has worked as an analyst and frequent contributor on Bulldogs Live and the Dawg Talk Post Game Show for the Bulldogs Sports Network for ten years. After graduating from Cartersville High School, Brock went on to play football for the University of Georgia, where he was a three-year letterman.

“I can’t wait to work with another great Bulldog,” Howard said. “I first met Josh during his playing days at UGA. He and Shock were teammates and will be again. With his knowledge of the game and Georgia, Josh will be a terrific addition to the Bulldogs Sports Network radio team.”

Through a partnership with JMI Sports, Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing, Learfield’s local team, is the sole owner of Georgia Athletics’ multimedia rights and manages all sponsorship deals on the Bulldogs’ behalf.
