Cooper DeJean, who led the Eagles to the championship with a pick-six against Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl LIX, is one of the Iowa Hawkeyes’ most notable defensive backs.
DeJean was chosen by the Eagles 19 years after Sean Considine, a former Hawkeyes defensive back who spent four seasons in the City of Brotherly Love and recorded a career-high 86 tackles for the Birds in 2006, was selected.
Considine’s kid recently made a huge announcement about his prospective college decision and the 2026 college football season.
The dynamic player with excellent ball skills, who plays linebacker for the Byron Tigers in Byron, Illinois, may end up wearing a Hawkeyes uniform the next season.
Last month, he received the offer, which he described as exceptional.
Considine told the publication, “I didn’t expect it at all, so it made it that much more special,”
“Especially to have the opportunity to go to such an amazing program like Iowa where my father succeeded as well.”
His father posted highlight video of his son at the Illinois Redbirds’ football camp heading into July as he showed off defensive back skills his father became famous for during his time in the Big Ten and in the NFL.
Considine has plenty of time to make his decision, heading toward his last two seasons with the Tigers.
