Brentford’s football director, Phil Giles, says the club is constantly talking with their forward Bryan Mbeumo and that it’s “not impossible” he might stay.

Mbeumo, who plays for Cameroon, is very interested in moving to Manchester United. The club has already turned down two offers from United, with the second being up to £62.5 million.
Mbeumo, 25, has told Brentford he wants to join United. However, Giles said there hasn’t been much progress in those talks yet.
He said, “Mbeumo had a great season. We expected other teams to be interested, and they are. He has his own plans for his career, and he’s allowed to want that.
“It’s possible he could still stay with us next season if we agree. Brentford only sells players if the deal is right for us.”
Giles added that Mbeumo is one of Brentford’s best players and they want to keep their top talent.
He also confirmed that Brentford’s captain, Christian Norgaard, is close to moving to Arsenal. The clubs have agreed on a fee, believed to be up to £15 million, but the deal isn’t final yet.
Giles said, “We’ve been talking with Arsenal for about a week or ten days. If the move happens, it’s well deserved—he’s been a great captain for us. We’ll see how it turns out, but we’re open to it.”
